Hi if i wanted to leave the marital house that i half own would i get finacial support if i went into rented?

My advice is dont leave your house. You are immediately disadvantaged in all future settlement.
Speak to Citizens advice before you do anything at all.

im not intrested in any money from the house really
Not sure that is true Sarah. I've lived in my house for 2.5 years on my own and my ex is still entitled to half.

No you wouldn't - any capital you have is taken into account, and capital includes property you own. You can get an Order for Division and Sale if your spouse refuses to sell.

This is very rarely refused and means the house will be sold and the equity split.
I would seek advice from the CAB. In many cases you may well get help even if your house is in joint names. I know of someone in the same position.
