Just want to gather some peoples opinions on here. Me and My ex have a 3 year old son together, we split up when he was 9 months old & it was not a nice time, but we all get along really well now, both have new partners & have both moved on. We are all on facebook & my ex is even my friend.. his girlfriend put a load of pics of my son on her profile a few months ago, which i was not happy about so asked him to tell her to take them off, which she did, they were pics of him in the bath... saturday she went & put a load of pics on her profile of him again. I dont want pictures of my son broadcasted on the internet so I rang my ex & told him to tell her to take them off as she has no right to put them on, she did so too, I am soo annoyed that she just went ahead & done this, would other mums be the same....

its not for everyone to see just her friends
I would be soooooo mad if anyone did this. I think that you are absolutley right to object after all we are always being told that peodophiles stalk the net and I would never allow my ex husband to put pictures of my children on the web. Where is her sense and also how dare she when they are your children and actually if it continues you could get a solicitors letter preventing her from doing this, she also does not have parental responsibility and could be in a lot of trouble!

On one hand, I guess that it is nice that she feels sufficiently attached to your son to feel that he is an important part of her life and wants to include him. On the other hand, I personally wouldn't like to broadcast pictures of my children on the internet. I think that I would go carefully here, you don't want to spoil the relationship that she has obviously developed with your son, but at the same time you need to make sure that they are aware of your feelings about posting his picture and why.

thanks for your answers guys.. She does not have a limited profile which means that everyone and anyone can look at her profile & her pics.....
Oh dear! This has got me thinking. I have pictures of my 2 daughters on facebook. I also have a picture of one stepson (14) with hisdad and the other step son (21) with his fiance. I suppose I just love them and think of them as family. I never even thought how their mum may feel although they are not that close.

Maybe I have done the wrong thing but being older I thought they may feel left out if there were no pictres of them.
even though it is limited only her friends can see these pics ! nothing can be copied or downloaded by the sound of it she thinks alot of your son so dont worry.
She probably meant no harm - but she should have asked you first nonetheless...you're his mum.
ask her to click on limited profile then
