My family is going through a really bad time at the moment and I've just found out something really serious. I want to talk to someone for advice but who can I talk to that will keep it a total secret. I don't want them getting other people involved just advice. Is their anyone I can talk to? I would prefer it to be in person not a phone helpline. I'm doing my GCSE's at the moment also and the stress is really getting to me, but the family matters are whats causing the stress. Any advice please.

I guess who u need to talk to depends on the nature of the serious thing ?
Hi cheater123
Firstly i'm a mum to a girl who like you is sitting her GCSE's and it is very stressfull ,you sound very desperate , and say its not a help line that you need ,but the samaritans will listen to you , or perhaps a close friend ,or even your G.P if you are 16 then you dont need to have a parent with you to go to the G.P .
Try and stay focused on your revision for your GCSE's i know it's hard ,but you know somethng problems have a way of sorting themselves out .
Good Luck with your GCSE's

The Samaritans are brilliant, and many branches have somewhere where you can drop in and talk to someone personally. They don't exactly tell you what to do, but they listen and put forward suggestions. You don't have to take any of their suggestions on board if you don't want to, and they wont force you to involve other people/organisations. You can talk to them about absolutely any subject - they're unshockable and will almost certainly have heard it all before.

Hello there,
The advice from MysteryT and Big Jenny is spot on and you can be reassured about confidntiality.
Another source of help may be Childline & The NSPCC who help many children and their families, dealing with all sorts of problems. Just remember that there are lots of people who can help so please contact these excellent organisations and get the help an advice you need.
