JJ... I lost my mum 12 years ago in January...and both my cats recently..one in June.. one about 6 weeks ago..although it stills hurts.. like a kick from a mule...and the house is empty without our 4 legged friends.. were at the point we can remember the cats.. and our family members who are no longer with us.. with laughter and a smile.. I think of my mum EVERY day..You will get through.. lots of us have been there... were all still here.. you won't forget.. but you learn to carry it along-side you..soon it will get better take care... Mrs C xx
25 years since my mum died, I still hold her close to me and miss her - but that's part of life, JJ, it's normal and of course I believe you. The same goes for my dad & one or 2 of my dogs, although I remember others fondly.
Mamaya is right, we must not let grief consume us, but learn to live with it and turn memories into a rich reserve within us. No one will tell you that the process does not hurt. Stick with it!
13 years ago on jan 5th i got my precious beagle a week later my mum died that little dog got my through losing my mum , 12 weeks ago i lost that little dog this xmas has been the most heatbreaking ever with out them both
And 7 months ago I lost my dear Mum, who we always spent Christmas Day with her here for lunch and tea. It has been hard especially first thing on Christmas morning when I missed her cheery phone call - "Morning! Happy Christmas - has Santa been?" We have to hang on to our happy memories even though it's hard for us who have lost loved ones (or pets)
Keep cheerful Conne x
I hope your feeling a lot better today jennyjoan.
I felt pretty down myself yesterday, but amazing how when you laugh at memories , it can make you feel quite a lot better x
Now how about a New Year Resolution to find a new pet? Mr Harv won't come back but you have his memories. A new dog though will find his or her own metier to give you their unconditional love and become a character of their own - and help you towards the future, Conne.
buenchico - what a kind hearted thing to do buying a First Class person a first Clcass ticken and than to be rejected. No wonder you love your animals more than humans. Think you have been through enough. Enuff said.
