In my 32 years of marriage we have moved from London, to Somerset, to Hampshire, to Surrey, to Hampshire to New Jersey, USA to Hampshire. People have always been friendly and welcoming, have never had a problem.

Good luck with the move and the baby

Don't worry. I'm sure you will soon settle down and make friends.Like woofgang I have moved around quite a bit from Germany to Norfolk to Holland to Singapore to Norway to London and so on ad infinitum. We are now in Norfolk.Home is where the heart is.
".Silly Suffolk " is a lovely county and I am sure you will have a good life there. All the best with your move.Good luck.

Hi

Thanks for your advise, I am really looking forward to moving xx

I am still living in the Suffolk town where I was born. I met my husband when he visited family who moved here from Surrey. At first he hated coming to see me and moaned about how slow and quiet it was compared to Kingston and so I spent most of the time visiting him; but he chose to move to my home town and very quickly felt at home. Now he hates visiting his parents and can't stand the noise and traffic. In fact he can't wait to get back to sleepy Suffolk.
