purple and silver.

4. If one places a tiny amount of liquor on a scorpion, it will

discovered this?)

stated that you couldn't beat your wife with anything wider than your thumb.

snags! some of those pictures made me feel sick!
I want to drop a raisin into Champagne.

But then if I opened a bottle, I'd have to drink the Champagne, or it would go flat.
LOL, reminds me of school days, 'The Purple Nurple'.
7. Not true :-)
Well, Robert Burns uses the word "curple" in one of his poems.

Although, to be fair, I think he just used to make words up.

1. Appears to be true but perhaps exaggerated -- certianly the mucus needs to be regenerated to avoid serious damage.

2. Can't validate this but probably true.

3. What about hirple, etc., chilver etc., and sporange?

4. There is no evidence that Scorpions do this -- search for videos. Most times the scorpion just gets well mad and attacks the alcohol. Won't kill itself though.

5. Another Urban myth: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_thumb

7. Some people can lick their elbows, but most cannot.

8. Urban myth.

9. Casimir Zeglen invented the first (commercially available) bulletproof vest; Daniel Maseres, Abraham Wivell and Henry Vieregg the Fire escape; and Gary Starkwether the laser printer. Windscreen wipers are the only one of the list invented by a woman, Mary Anderson.
