Has anyone tried one of these? With the cost of blades nowadays it could be well worth it..

That's a good idea Ummm. Thanks. I'll show it to Mr Alba and see what he thinks.
Doesn't look like it's a sharpener as such, more like a kitchen steel, so it would hone a existing edge rather than put a new edge on the blades.

Worth it for £10 considering that's about the cost of 1 packet of decent blades.
....or you could just do this......

Works a dream apparently!

I bulk buy blades off ebay for a lot less than retail.
Why not just build a Karel Drbal Pyramid and put the blades in there?

Good gracious, I thought everyone used electric razors, or am I missing something here and this is blades for electric razors. Sorry, I don't have to use one myself (lucky me) so I don't know much about them.
Question Author
Will do....if it works it's £10 well spent and I know what everyone is getting for xmas presents :-)
Star, wet shave or dry shave, all depends on if I'm on a promise or not !
Question Author
Ha ha...dry shave then, Tony!! :-)
To be honest I cant see them having much effect, to sharpen a blade correctly it will need to be sharpened from both sides to remove the burs, it may extend the live by an extra shave but I doubt it will do much more.
