hmm, dont think so unless hse ahs supprted accomadation to go to. A child does not reach mojority till they are 18, and then come of age at 21. Are social services involved?

You might do better asking on a US site to be honest as most people here can only answer UK law- where it would be fine to do this- but America I really don't know. Good luck with things anyway.
