My hubby snores so loudly we sleep in seperate bedrooms and at home that isn't a problem but we go on holiday at Christmas and are all going to be sleeping in one room. I am not only concerned about my own lack of sleep but worried that he will wake the kids up! I know there is lots of products that claim to work but does anyone use any and definitely recommend anything please?

if you find a wonder cure let me know x
Snoring is a symptom with a cause and the treatment depends upon the cause.

The cause can only be highlighted by seeking the help of an E.N T Surgeon.
I don`t think anything works. If it did nobody would snore. There are just the preventative things such as not smoking, not being overweight and laying off the booze. If someone only snores when they lay on their back, they say to clip a clothes peg on the back of the pyjamas so that it`s uncomfortable and they will return to laying on their side.
Decapitation.
Baseball bat...
Invite your boy friend to share the bed with both of you.
''Decapitation''

For the person suffering the noise? So they cannot hear the snorer? Is that what you mean? ;-p
How would the person doing the snoring decapitate someone? They'd be asleep... ;oP
sleep decapitating,

its a valid defense.....
what do you do when they don't want to go to gp for initial referral....really is a problem...especially when you are not used to sharing a bed with someone.. and ear plugs don't block it all out...
Hmmm... decapi...
Stay awake!
Stop giving him ideas fluffy!

If soemone doesn't want to go to the GP then I guess seperate beds on the nights it's really bad.
I suffer from sleep apnea which involves a lot of snoring and grunting (apparently)

I went to E.N.T and spent a night in the sleep clinic, I was woken constantly my the machine that was monitoring sounding alarms as my stats were dropping or some such nonsense, I was woken by doors being slammed, nurses shouting and then at4.30 a flock of gulls descended and kept me awake by screeching!

Apparently I stop breathing for a total of 11 minutes during ever hour.

They offered me an operation that they said was very unpleasant and probably wouldn't work or or sleep with an elephants trunk attached to my face every night.

I declined both!!
ok how about sleep smothering?
Snoring means that you are still alive, when you stop breathing for the last time it then becomes a problem ! ;-))
no spare bed.....new relationship might have to drill out his airways with a drain snake
The surgery they are probnably offering is the removal of your tonsils, uvula, and part of your soft palate to widen your airway.

It is unpleasant - i know, I;ve had it done - and it has not been a long-term success.

Try this - http://www.snorekil.c...ow_snorekil_works.php

it does work - although it takes a bit of getting used to wearing it.

If you find it works, invest in a 'custom made' device which is much smaller and less invasive - that does work, and I snore seriously badly!
andy....you say that the T3P ( operation) worked......so why do you need to wear the snorkel?
