I wouldn't feed birds in areas I sprayed for a few days It is supposed to be safe once dry but I err on the side of caution...just don't get any in fish ponds even a bit of 'mist' drifting onto the water can cause havoc

Just use cheap salt and hot water, any shop bought weedkiller is dangerous to any small animals and the environment.
