Even the folders with documents in them, are then tied with silk.

well that's the pink stuff, but I'm sure ours is cotton.

Definitely cotton.

I used to bundle stuff off to Counsel from time to time. The more pompous old barristers still liked to receive bundles in "pink string" ... actually cotton, and about 5mm ish.
