I too know of someone who paid 49.50 for a loan.  [Edited]  My friend did manage to get through to Advantage Loans after many long suffering trys!  He has been told that he will not get his 49.50 for 6 months - some thing that is apparently in the small print.  [Edited] if you need a loan - you shouldn't pay a finance company a penny - they should be giving you money - after all you went to them for a loan.
