No worries from ACCA point of view. In order to qualify as an accountant you must have three years accountancy related experience before you can call yourself an accountant in practice and promote yourself as one. However you have abou 10 years to get the experience. It is quite common for accountancy recruitment firms to emply accounting students or indeed accountants as then you will be able to speak the language.

With ACCA there is also an option to get a degree from Oxford Brookes University once you cover all of parts 1 and 2. Check their website www.accaglobal.com.

You will still be employable after doing some of the exams but at the end of the day if you want to be an accountant then you will have to work in accounts / finance at some stage. Recruitment will not count towards your 3 years experience.

It is a long undertaking to get the exams but good luck anyway from one person who did them!
