My son was involved in an accident last year in October. An old man was crossing the road on a dual carriageway and was two minded whether to cross or not. He suddenlty changed his mind and started to cross the road. Lucky my son driving at a slow speed. Witness have stated that my son was not at fault, it was the old man. The police did not press any charges against as he was not at fault. Now my son has received a letter from the old man's solicitors stating that they want to put a claim agaisnt him due to the accident the old man's leg had to be amputed due to a sprained ankle. My son longer lives with me and I cannot locate him. Please advise what do I do with the letter as I do not have any information about the insurance.
