Well mine is 748 and I have never had problem getting credit.
I think the higher it is the better it is.
Have you missed payments/defaulted on anything?
It very much depends on the company who gave you the score.
At the moment the question is like saying: I scored 3 goals in a football match - will my team win.
The previous answers above refer to a score out of 1000, however, some credit scores can be out of 100 - so yours would be okay.
Every company uses a different credit scoring system and this also changes on a monthly basis - so literally you can pass the credit score one month, but fail the following month.
Experian can supply you with 'a' credit rating, but this is only a general guide.
Every company actually gives you there own version - very sophisticated programming that not only takes into account your own situation but also looks at your industry sector and even looks at the different weightings of their own business.
thanks all.... oneeyedvic was quite right I have found out that the company use a score of 0 to 100 and 72 is very good.. it would help if the companies would print this information along with the score but thats to simple is'nt it
