Just wondering in these uncertain days where is the best place to bank your money is, I havn't got a lot of money, so unlike the super rich if I lost it life would be very difficult

Alliance & Leicester is very safe up to �50,000.

Even if it goes bust you are guaranteed to get your money

If you want somewhere safe, HSBC is the best place IMO.

Massive global coverage and heavily invested in the far east (where they haven't jumped on and then fell off the sub-prime bandwagon).
