mortgage advice needed desperately please

Hiya
I was wondering if you can advise me as to whether or not I need to be in a job a particular amount of time before I get a mortgage?
I am intending to buy out my other halfs ex, but i have only just startedmy new job. would nationwide accept me?

How long were in your previous job? If you have a good employment and credit record then the fact you have started a new job won't go against you.

If you were unemployed for a long period before starting this job, then it might be difficult.

i was a contractor so all of my jobs have been between 3-18 months but now taking up a perm position.

I had only been in my job 2 months when I got a mortgage, I just had to show them (the Halifax) my contract of employment.
you should be ok, same happened to me,but it was 8 months
