my partner lost his job and is filing for bankruptcy he is lookin for a new job how will this affect his applying for bankruptcy and if he gets a job after its gone through does he still need to pay those debts off thank u

Your partner should perhaps think about this the other way round - will being a bankrupt affect his finding a job? Certainly, he may have difficulty finding employment involving financial dealings. Going bankrupt is a major operation, and not to be undertaken lightly - it will mean he will have problems with any form of credit for a long time. He should seek advice on avoiding this drastic step - eg from a Citizens Advice Bureau or Debt Counsellor.
