Which is the best deal for combining the three as above - phone calls, digital TV and broadband? And are the phone calls free evenings and weekends only or does anyone give free daytime calls as well ? Thanks

Hi ive just transfered to Sky from Virgin as i found Virgin to be rubbish, my TV was always crashing, the on demand & movie featured never worked, it took ages to actually talk to someone on the phone about it & the engineers never arrived when they said they would! Also everyone i know has had the same problems with them.
I'm totally loving my new Sky, dont know how i ever lived without it! It costs me 38 pm for all the entertainment mixes + the movie package, 8m broadband & free evening & wkend landline calls, although u can up any of these features including the phone package. I know at the minute though they are doing the 3 in 1 deal even cheaper. You're best to look on their website theres loads of options to tell them exactly what u want & it'll tell you how much it'll cost, it's really easy! Only downfall is you have a BT line so if you've not got one installed it costs 125 with BT, or if u have & not activated its about 40 & then u pay BT 11 pm for line rental, so all in it costs me 48 pm & it's well worth it, it also costs 100 flat fee for a Sky + box but that's well worth the money too.
Sorry about the novel ive just written but hope it helps!
The Sky package does look a good deal but you need to make sure that they have broadband in your area as we couldn't get it where we live as they are still rolling it out.
I've had no problems at all with Telewest (now Virgin).

I pay 20 per month for broadband and tv. I don't need any kind of landline as I have Skype phones which work whether the pc is switched on or not.
I use Virgin media and have not had a s problem with them, the On Demand feture is great, and on the one occassion I had to call an engineer out for the broadband (which incidentally fixed itself in a matter of hours) they turned up at the time specified. I don't watch TV a huge amount, during and mostly wantd it fdor broadband and phone so with the OD feature, it suited me down to the ground at only 38 p/m.
i had a good look round when i changed mine and sky was the best value, and like Pingu i`m very happy with they service they give :-)
Blimey! Don't know what happened to my English there! Sorry if that desn't make sense to anyone, it barely makes sense to me! I like Virgin though, and at the moment I have no reason to change. The reason I went with them in the first place is I have just moved into a new house and I simply couldn't afford the 125 BT wanted for new landline.
i'm with tiscali and pay 24.99 a month for tv , up to 8mg broadband and all my calls ( anytime ) are free -this also includes my line rental and according to the tiscali website is cheaper than sky and bt and virgin
