When reclaiming bank charges for going overdrawn etc.. can the bank blacklist you? or substantially change and or close your account with them? what other repercussions are connected with a claim of this nature? if any.

Thanks Regards Ian Jones

yes they can close your account, or change the terms and conditions of banking with them, but then again, they could do that to anybody!
hi,
yeah they could close your account if they wanted too. go to www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk and you can find out all about it.
Having just recently reclaimed all of my charges I received a letter from my bank stating that whilst they wouldnt close my account if I continued to accrue charges they would give me a very basic account instead i.e no overdraft facility no switch card etc, it is very doubtfult they would close your account if you settle out of court, however I would agree to go on consumer action group website as this is very helpful and is where I used all the letter templates etc to start claiming.

hope this helps and good luck
