im off to majorca next week is it best to take with me euro traveller cheques or sterling cheques? or is it simply one of six and one of half dozen?

Neither - don't take TCs at all. They are expensive and difficult to cash.

Use your debit card in an ATM to get cash and use a credit card for purchases.

If you don't want to/can't do this take cash - M&S are the best High Street source.

But not TCs.
