Right, heres the deal. I have a spare �500 knocking about, I wanna turn this money into more . I dont want to save it I want to go into buying and selling. I want it to be totally above law too.

What do you lot recommend me to do? should I sell on ebay or any other way?

Try going round junk shops ["We buy junk. We sell antiques."] Buy undervalued junk and sell (after washing or cleaning it) as a bargain antique.

Your real problem is that Ebay is awash with people trying to sell junk and make money, so you'd have to be kindof lucky to really make big bucks. Also you're not going to be able to make the big money until you've got a decent feedback rating (assuming you already haven't).

If you want to make money, you might want to try a different direction such as international finance like Zopa where effectively you become a loan company. �500 isn't going to make you a fortune, but it's more reliable than selling on Ebay, and you could reinvest your profit.

I was talking to a guy who had a load of Minolta photography gear (35mm) which he sold on ebay and made a decent return as Minolta apparently went under and the stuff can't be bought over here now.

Now he buys things like cable releases from America for about twenty quid. Puts them on ebay straight away and can double the price.
