paying in cheque in maiden name

My wife recieved a cheque from an old bank account she had before we were married. obviously it is in her maiden name and she has not got much Identifiction as it was 8 years ago that she went by her maiden name. Will she run into problems when paying it in to her building society? if so any advice?

she could take her birth and marraige certificates with her for proof if ID.
