Me and my ex partner have just recently split up. During our 5 years together we took out credit cards and a loan in my name but my ex as a second card holder as he didn't have any credit history. We struggled to pay the money back for these as the interest was so high.
We then got advice to take out a consilidation loan which was put in my name again with a figure totalling an amount of 7500.00 to pay back over 6 years. My ex is now refusing to pay me back his half of the debt as he says the consilidation loan is in my name and i haven't got a leg to stand on. Is this true? have i got no hope in getting the money back of him? If anyone can help i would be really grateful as i am at my witts end.
