he has a close family so he is going to share it with them, it was about 50k. 5k to his brother and his family, 5k to his sister and her family, 5k to his mum and dad, simple so far, another 5k to his sister in law and her family, and another 5k to his mother and father inlaw, this is where the problem is his brother in law has split up from his wife who has two kids to bring up, and he has got a girlfriend, what do you think he should do

He should just give the money gifts to his blood relatives - his parents, brothers and sisters. What they do with their gifts would then be up to them.

Otherwise it will be never ending and somebody will feel aggrieved.

I kind of agree with Ethel. However if he really feels a bit of a heel maybe he could give a little gift to the children from the marriage..a little bit in their bank account might be nice.


I really don't see why the children should miss out if their cousins are getting something?
