is the "taxable pay to date" figure on the end tax year period 12 payslip the same as the figure on a p60?

I believe that this depends on what type of job you have and when certain types of your wages and any bonus/comission are paid.

Example:
Someone who is paid overtime above contracted hours and bonusses one month in arrears would, I think, have different figures on P60 to their month 12 payslip. As overtime and bonusses would appear on the following month's payslip. Similarly, the previous month 1 payslip would contain bonusses and overtime from the previous month.

However please correct me someone if I am wrong.

I think the P60 should show the taxable pay (and tax deducted) actually paid in the tax year concerned, so if you do not receive any more pay after the period 12 (presumably this means month 12) payslip, then the P60 figure should be the same. Any bonuses, overtime etc. paid in the next period (month 1) will be being paid in the next tax year so would be included in the P60 for that year.
