How does a money transfer happen after a divorce?

If somebody were to draw up a prenuptial and their partner was caught cheating, how would the money owed to the other partner be issued? Cheque, cash, money transfer?

????This has to be one of the daftest questions ever.

This type of transfer can only take place in a legalised brothel in Utah when gold bullion is exchanged between the parties. Robbers then come and shoot them both and steal the gold. Mormons then come and save them, both spiritually and physically, and they live happily ever after as a threesome.

Cheating has nothing to do with a divorce, the days of catching out your partner are long gone, it doesn't make any difference who did what. What happens is the funds are held in a solicitor's account (i.e. from the sale of the marital home) until such time as the settlement is agreed. Then it is paid by BACS transfer probably, into each of their accounts as agreed by the Court order, and with the approval of the parties and the solicitors.
