I just wondered how much my bank will charge me for making an 8 dollar ebay transaction by paypal? I will be buying, not selling.

Most banks will not charge as such, but will load the exchange rate by 2.75% - a few pence in this case. (I'm assuming debit or credit card BTW)


I think though that paypal will do the conversion for you, again with charges buried in the exchange rate, and your bank won't charge at all.


I don't really think you will notice the charge

Have checked - paypal will do the conversion for you - your bank will see it as just a normal UK transaction. You won't notice a charge by paypal - all they tell you is the exchange rate.
