So it seems, Abbey , that you haven't been underpaid after all. Unfortunately there may be no big tax rebate to help boost your finances, so your focus now has to be on finding a full time job or a second part time job, and cutting back on spending including takeaways, nails, bottomless brunches and driving lessons for the forseeable future

Do you mean you have not been at work today?  You were asked about this at 11.08!

May I ask Abbey have you worked there long enough to get paid holidays?

Yes I have now and yes went for afternoon tea

So you've been on holiday today. Did you ring HMRC?

Hope it didn't cost too much, Abbey.  Am off to do a jigsaw - the pieces fit much easier than your life stories do! x

Afternoon tea- sounds nice. Did someone treat you?

I hope you didn't get jam from the scones all over your keypad

No it was my mum birthday present I bought back in August

Sounds lovely. I hope you had a good chat and covered some of the concerns and issues you raise on here.

It's your day off tomorrow so it's a good time to ring HR to pester them about your payslips; to look through your paperwork to find your contracted hours and pay; and to ring HMRC.

Abbey may I suggest you get your act together about the way you are answering on here. You've become so random, ignoring the obvious things that people are asking and posting as if you're in a dreamworld. The danger is your handful of supporters will finally give up the ghost in trying to help you.

Their patience is surely wearing thin by now?

Nma, I think Abbey previously said £10.53 per hour.

And Abbey, I - and others - repeatedly asked what hours you were working, and you said 21 per week. Now it turns out that's 18 minus breaks.

That would be around £174 a week, so it looks as if abbey might be getting paid the correct gross and net amounts after all!

Yes, particularly if there's a 30 minute break for lunch and possibly another 15 minute one.

What a spectacular waste of our time this has been.

Think I'm more annoyed about getting to the bottom of the tax issues to help with not having any money.

Was it Monday or Tuesday Abbey said she'd phone on Thursday when she 'had more time'? Turns out her priorities are having another day off to have lunch. How long does a lunch last?

And finally from me, why did you try to cover up from us that you weren't in work today? (I have 30mins lunch break + I have breaks).

I'll repeat.. it's a wind up. Albeit quite a good one. I have to admit. 455 answers says it all.

Emeritus I tend to agree with you but there are several Abers I really respect who think not and the Eds are particularly protective so it goes on. Without a doubt I know the person and hometown and McDonald's background are definitely real (I saw the FB page once)  just not sure about the life story.

Thank for the Best Answer, Abbey.😁
