Is anybody able to do a calculation for me, as a non-driver? I’m trying to find out what it would cost to drive a Peugeot 208 for 430 miles- assuming only diesel is counted and not wear and tear. I have tried the online calculators and can’t get into work!

430 miles times the price per litre divided by the miles/litre figure for that type of driving in your car.
About £50
how accurate do you need you calculation to be. Very rough- 10 gallons ,,,at £6 a gallon thats £60
Approximately 46.53
Go with douglases... I dont know how many mpg you get with a peugot 208 deisel
Working in gallons, you should get around 50mpg on a trip, so 8 or 9 gallons at around £8 per gallon and £70 won't be far off.
Or redhelens.
At 60mpg (which is what Parker's Guide suggests is a reasonable figure to work with), that's a little over 7 gallons of diesel needed.

7 gallons is roughly 32 litres but let's call it 35 litres (because of the 'little over' bit that's mentioned above)

Diesel is currently priced at around £1.55 per litre.

35 litres, at £1.55 per litre, comes to around £54.
1.55? Only 1.45 with us are we actually cheaper than GB wow!

Great – thank you so much.
If redhelens in Northern Ireland yest its cheaper there.... not sure why as unleaded is similar to UK prices. There seems only a tiny differential between unleaded and deisel inNI
Meant GB not UK... I know NI is in UK
One of our local garages is selling unleaded and diesel at the same price
