Should I Be Worried About This Or Is It Normal (Flushing All Of A Sudden)

I am in my late 30’s and usually I never look flushed or red in the face unless I have been doing intense exercise

Something worried me though yesterday I had been out of the shower for 20 minutes and my face suddenly felt all hot, I looked in the mirror and both my cheeks were bright red. I stood at a window to cool down and took my blood pressure it was 142/87. I started to feel anxious (I often get anxious when things like this occur) but managed to calm down a bit. 20 mins later I felt better, my face looked normal and bp returned to normal (122/72)

I am wondering how worried should I be, if at all, about this? It is a new thing to me because I’m usually pale/dont flush or blush. I hope it isn’t early menopause

I wouldn't know, but suspect if it just occurs once it won't be much to worry about.
I consider that to be a normal bodily response to having a shower and I think that it has happened to you before and that it happens to most people all the time.

As for the BP, I bet just bet, that if you entered"shower and blood pressure into a search engine, you would find that some "links" (can't stand that word) would say that a hot shower would raise your BP, some would say that it would lower your BP and some would say that it would have no effect at all. My response is that a hot shower would do diddly sqat to your BP.
However......however..if you have any degree of diagnosed heart failure or are on any BP lowering drugs, then I would take care when having a shower, as you might feel dizzy or in fact flushed.

Your situation is due to blood vessels in your face, dilating in a normal attempt to equalise the temp. of your shower, to the outside temp. of the room........NORMAL bodily response.
yeah - but not until 20 minutes AFTER the shower?
So she says dave........my bet is that she was flushed after the shower but there was no mirror handy.

So...dave, do you think she should be worried?
I've no idea - I'm not medically qualified & haven't experienced menopausal symptoms.
