Pyronix the alarm company have taken a recurring/automatic payment out of my PayPal account without my authority. I cannot find an email address for Pyronix, and can’t find how to cancel any future payment from my PayPal account. Paypal’s website says look in the PayPal Wallet and scroll down to cancel, but there is nothing at the bottom of the page. If I send a complaint to PayPal and ask them to cancel any more payments, will they do this? I just want a reminder from Pyronix every year so I can pay how I like, not necessarily through PayPal. Thanks all.

Can't hurt to remain in dialogue with PayPal. But maybe get in touch with Pyronix too. Maybe PayPal can provide contact details ?
This repeat authority mechanism is an absolute menace and should never be allowed - you often have to read the small print to find out that's what you are signing up for. For the payee of course it's a wonderful windfall, so they won't change it - it's up to the service providers to do so (e.g. Banks, Paypal).

Why we can't just have a reminder-then-authorise system (as smurfchops says) is beyond me.
so it's something you want, and want to pay for, but it's just inconvenient they've taken it from paypal now -is that correct?
If it's a recurring payment, you'll probably find you have allowed it somewhere when you set it up ( a bit like car insurance?)
Having been caught out myself in the past, I wonder how many other Abers have suffered this way.
Does this help?
How to Cancel an Automatic Billing Agreement on PayPal?
Log into your PayPal account with your normal credentials
Near the top of the page, you will find the “settings” tab. Click it.
In your settings, click “payments”.
Under “payments”, you’ll find “manage pre-approved payments”.
Find the payment you want to cancel. Next to the payment you can see the cancel subscription button. It could be a simple “cancel” button or “cancel automatic billing”.
Follow the instructions to confirm your cancelled subscription.

OK. UPDATE FOLKS…The header in the email is from PayPal, the email looks like any I receive when I make a payment through PayPal…. but the money hasn’t come out of my PayPal account. PayPal replied to my email, telling me this, and it wasn’t taken out of my PayPal account when I checked online. And Pyronix are not on the list where I can unsubscribe either. Then lower down in the email it says paid by Mastercard… I am sure I paid by Mastercard last year. So why is the email sent from PayPal ? If I ring my bank will they cancel this for next year?? All very odd.
Smurf, have you checked your Mastercard account? Also examine the email header again
It's essential you ring your bank. They will cancel on your request.

Or contact Pyronix Limited, Secure House, Braithwell Way, Hellaby, Rotherham, S66 8QY. Tel: 01709 700 100

Thanks all, I will try to sort it after this Bank Holiday weekend. Such a nuisance. I think I could get hold of Putin easier than Pyronix.
