I have bought a laptop from BT which was advertised as having an X600 graphics processor but this model apparently has a lower spex integrated grahics. As the laptop was advertised with its supposed list of parts, which turns out to be incorrect am I an a good position to get my money back, or is there always small print to stop me doing this? Check out the www.bt.com shop website and look at the Toshiba Satellite Pro M70-134 offer with its grahics card description. I looked at Toshiba's website before I bought this and there was no mention of a model without the X600. The shop is hard to find but goto the broadband offer then the computer offer.

Thx for looking.

If you bought it less than 14 days ago, you have an automatic right to cancel your order and get your money back under the distance selling regulations.

If you contact BT and tell them that you want to return the goods, they will happily refund you.

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 actually give seven working days to cancel the sale.

If this is not applicable in your case you are also covered by the numerous Sale of Goods Acts and protection from misleading advertising.

Sorry, Kempie is of course correct it is 7 working days (getting myself confused with FSA regs).
