Glancing through facebook looking at this and that I came across an advert asking if I had a loan etc between such and such a date. Read up on this site and some of you were lucky in getting a payment so I thought I had nothing to lose and still don't.

I just entered details name dob and email address. Came downstairs and the PPI guy was ringing me - I did say to him I couldn't go into details/information on the phone due to my hearing loss. So he is going to communicate with me via email.

What do yous think of that. I haven't a clue.

They'll take up to 33% of any money to which you are entitled.
Avoid them and do it yourself....

thanks Jack - I'd never get around to it
If you want to proceed you'll end up having to provide details of all the companies you have had loans/accounts/finance with and give them the authority to write to them. If you were never going to claim it's worth a punt but if you think you had PPI it's easu to claim yourself
Question Author
thanks FF - I'm not too savvy with PPI etc. So I'll let them deal with it - throughout my life I never borrowed only my mortgage so wouldn't be giving many details - you know nice to get something but if I don't then that's ok too.
Don't allow any home visits conne.
You just write to your mortgage company and ask if you paid for PPI on your mortgage.
They do the rest.
If you had paid and were due £3000, a PPI company would take £1000 for writing exactly the same letter as you could do yourself.

well according to the advert - they don't cold call, scam and other - so no - will see how I fare with the emails. That'll do me. Will let you know if I am rich yeehaa lol
Question Author
Ach I know that Jack - I can't be bothered hunting up papers etc. Oh no.
They won't tell you anything until you sign up with them for them to have a look...
Do you know who you had your mortgage with?
yeah! we did it and got £500 back...mortgages, credit card loans (mrs sqad).....let them do it JJ, it's worth getting them to do it.
The filling up the first form is the worst bit...from then on....let them earn their money.
I would be VERY wary of giving out any personal details to a company who advertise on Facebook.

hi Zacs how can I ensure I am safe enough then
Don’t give any personal details to any site on a social media platform. Simples.
