Wednesday. After yesterday's torrential rain the sky a lot clearer this morning, still cool though.

tiggy came out for his supper then went back to bed. No fun for a wee hedgehog when it's chucking it down.

Off to Cheltenham today. I might call into the new motorway stops on the way there and back, just to see what they are like.

could not sleep..going up to mum this morning to sort out a mess with Scottish power and bank..she phoned in tears last night ..got a bill for 2k + ..after a quick look at her power account on line it seems that no direct debits have been going in for over a year ! streuth..either bank or Scottish Power have well and truly cocked things up big style, so will spend this morning trying to put things right..how on earth can a power company allow such a situation for so long without bringing it to the account holder's attention !!

That is disgraceful minty. The blame lies with the power company. They should have alerted mum when the first payment didn't arrive. Give them a hard time, but nicely. ;o}

I am going to have internet banking set up and cancel paper bills so I can check what is going out and in...does not appear to have been looking at bills or statements at all the last couple of years..nothing filed properly...so will take a bit of sorting..big shredding exercise of old paperwork ahead...too much paper..too much chaos...

I agree with that. As soon as a piece of paper becomes redundant it's in the shredder. I don't do internet banking though. I like, whenever possible, to do things face to face. But I can see that will make life a lot easier for you. In the same situation I would do so too.

I think all the power companies charge far too much.

I had words with talktalk yesterday, as a result I'm not paying so much now.

also I am concerned that too many people are sticking their oars in ..too much private and confidential information lying around the house...

nope..is far too complicated ..just have to ensure that nothing is invoked..by convincing those that matter all is in order

it is only names on paper unless anything is invoked..and as the officially recognised carer my say goes as a priority over their opinions
