Like Christmas it will soon be over... and then its time to buy some flowers for yourself. At least you will get them in a colour you like

more an anti mother's day thread..
I think not, those who are sceptical - I interpret this as rowan's thoughts for those who are missing their late mothers, or those who have lost children. I appreciate it very much.
Some folk are celebrating today 'Mothering Sunday' whereas to others it is regarded as 'Mothers Day'.

Hans.
Thanks Rowan, I know it's only one day, but I find it hard sitting here on my own. My own mother died in 1966 but I still miss her. My family live 100+ miles away and though I have received lovely cards and presents I would rather be with them. Ah well, can't have everything.
I understand how you feel rowanwitch. I have friends who hates the day also. Hope you have a pleasant non-mother day just the same.
Participation in Mothers Day is not compulsory you know

Don't like it? Then simply ignore it, instead of moaning about it

Not very considerate of the OPer Joe, imo
Thank you for thinking of others like myself Rowan, who would have loved the chance to be a Mum, after all these years I still find it hard ............... x
im not sure what an anti mothers day is ?
Not really bothered about mothers day but Christmas is another matter. My mum died very suddenly two days before Christmas and it was the worst ever trying to explain to a bunch of kids why their beloved Nana isn't there to help open their presents. It's over thirty years ago but it's still not yhe same
@joeluke....I agree...."Participation in Mothers Day is not compulsory".
However, by the same token, if you Do Not like what is being posted in AB, then just ignore it.

@Baldric.....You have said...."Not very considerate of the OPer Joe, imo"...

Please explain your reason for thinking the OP inconsiderate.

Hans.
Hans, I think Baldric was commenting on JL's lack of consideration towards the OPer.
Scrivens, I like the cut of your jib. :-)

I'll let the OPer speak for herself if she wants to,
I don't think Joe knows the reason, it's not for me to say.
Cheers Baldric.....Please accept my apology for what appears to be a misunderstanding.

Hans.
