I thought about it and decided not.
It's Royal Mail that's being selt not the Post Office, they are not the same.

O K then. Do we buy shares in Royal Mail????
I know the sale is over-subscribed but do you not think the PR folk in The Post Office and Royal Mail need to do a wee bit more so that folk know the difference?
I don't think I will. People aren't sending letters any more. Given that there is a lot of competition for what mail is sent, it doesn't seem like a business with a secure long-term future.
I've took the plunge and decided to go for it.
As my dad says, "you've got to speculate to accumulate".
I think internet sales of merchandise though will more than make up for reductions in personal mail.
The share offer has always been called the Royal Mail share offer- no-one dealing with the sale has ever referred to it as the Post Office, although I have heard it stressed a few times that the sell off has nothing to with the Post Office.
