My Debt Management Plan Doesn't Show Up On My Credit Report
1 Answers
Hi, me and my wife are applying for a joint mortgage. My wife has excellent credit history. Our current mortgage is in her name.
We are now applying for a joint mortgage to buy a new property.
My credit history hasn't been great in the past however in recent years it has improved. I obtained my credit report recently and it shows to be good with a credit score of 952 and it indicates that i am low risk.
We have been pre approved for our mortgage but it has now gone to underwriters.
The thing that I am worried about is that I am on a debt management plan and have been for a few years, I've never missed a payment or anything however I'm confused as this doesn't appear to show up on my credit report.
I haven't mentioned I'm on a debt management plan and its only a small amount of repayment, our income is within the means of the mortgage.
I'm worried that the underwriters will see this if they do checks on my banking activity and whether this will affect us getting a mortgage.
