If you mean 'is VAT applied to pitch hire for a van on a caravan park?', the only exemption now is for long-term pitch hire on parks where the van is the permanent home of the occupier/renter.
If it is a holiday rental or second home, the park owner should be applying VAT.
The rules for vans were changed last year - at the same budget as the infamous pasty tax was proposed.
Yes we gave up our caravan when they started to charge VAT on the site fees, it was just too expensive.
I hope so, anything that discourages these mobile traffic jams is good.

You tell us Jake, I've never been dragged out of a ditch but I would assume that there is VAT on breakdown vehicle charges.
