Does anyone know who has control over the local Post Office, to do with planning. For example if they sell food, as many do now, do they have to get permission from a governing body, or someplace else.

Staples also provides a next day delivery service. Cheap and efficient.
Most POs are now franchises. I work in one, but am actually employed by Martin McColl's. Our counter within the store is completely separate, though; you couldn't pay for anything within the shop at our counter. I'd imagine the rules are different for each and every one. :S
