can i cash my wifes chegue in my account ? i have enough money in my account to cover it .

Unsure what you mean by that. Are you asking if, a cheque written by your wife drawn on her account can be honoured by taking the money from yours ?

If so I suspect not, but the easier solution would be to transfer money from your account to hers in order to cover it when it comes in.
Im not sure what you mean either, but if you mean what I think you mean, the answer is no!
You can pay the cheque into your account and you can withdraw any cleared funds the 2 transactions are not related. so for example if you have a cheque for £10 and you have £20 in your account you can pay in the cheque and you can take out £10 but that will not be against the cheque, the cheque can still bounce. The two transactions are entirely independent of each other.
If the cheque is made out to her, no you can't, it must be paid in to her own account.
If it's made out to you, yes you can.
