Tell her to get copy bank statements as these should confirm that the company has been paying her. She should contact DWP and HMRC and ask them to investigate as it would seem that the company should have had her on the payroll and paying employers NI.
who wants her to sign a p46?
Question Author

but i donl;t understand why her old omplyer wants her to sign a p46 - something is not right here
You fill in a P46 when you start a new job and don't have a P45.

bit more info her old employer called to her house 2 days ago asking her to fill in a p46
Did they request this in person?

Tell her not to fill it in...
That doesn't make sense....
They obviously haven't followed the correct procedure.

Inform HMRC...

This is what I am thinking her wage into the bank states it is from the salon which she will get asap the rest i just dont get x

Yes mark she lives in a small village emplyer called to her house and left it with her to fill in
Mark?

Tell her not to fill it in. Like I said....a P46 is filled in when you start a new job without a P45.
So the employer is now worried and trying to cover their tracks by getting her to sign a P46 now that she should have been given to sign when she joined the company. I bet they don't want her to put a date on it either.
Question Author
she is contacting hmrc now it really sounds odd to me
the employer is stupid or up to something
Question Author
I think you are so right she has been doing 45 hours a week as she thought on a apprenticship and has nothing to show for her last years work
Question Author
hmrc have said there is no record of the company
Just a thought--- if she can get her hands on this P46--- it may prevent thje employer from forging a signature.
