Hey all!

Not the right place for this and have posted in jobs and education, but hoping for some input from people in here to! :)

I'm 21 years old and currently work in accounts at the head office of a big company. I dont have any qualifications in accounts or finance.

My partner is an IT contractor and also one of 3 directors of a company they have created for IT infrastructure hosting disaster recovery. the company is doing well and picking up business and contracts well. My partner has said that at the rate they are going, within a year he will be able to leave contracting and work full time for the company (he is technical director) and be on a full time wage. Along with this, he has said that he feels that I would be the perfect person to come and work and run the finances for the company.

However, I do not have any qualifications, and I'm looking to find the best way to get them! They will obviously be needed if I am to be in any position to deal with the accounts of a company!

I dont want to go through my current work as they are pretty strict and I will then be tied to them for a few years afer completing my course.

Just looking for any advice really on the best way to go about getting qualifcations, like college courses or part time courses that will start me off!

Many thanks!

Wiggal :)

Basically, my partner wants me to be in charge of the finances and accounts of the company he is a director of!

Within a year he will be working full time for them, and wants me to be to, however I have no accountancy qualifictions, so I'm trying to find the best way to go about getting them! :)

chicho, my fellas mum is also a book keeper and will be happy to help me with any courses or educaition that I need!
Sorry to be negative, but if you want a long and happy relationship with him, don't work with him.

I wouldnt necessarily be working with him in a way as he would be out and about and I would be at home.

To be fair though, other then the hours I'm at work each day, we are together permanently anyway and although we still want to kill eachother at times, we are doing great, so wouldnt be much different to how it is now!
