My husband had taken out a mortgage loan in his name but unfortunately he died when only one of the repaypments had been paid. The bank were eager that the loan was repaid but refused to send me (wife) monthly statements to tell me how much was outstanding and also did not inform me when interest rates went up. The loan has now been repaid but is there any way I can reclaim some payment to compensate for refusal on the bank's part to give me the information I required?
