Nailit, don’t beat yourself up. Perhaps others here aren’t telling you what they’re dealing with. As I said before, few live trouble-free lives. Listen to Spungle. He’s giving you good advice - and as he said on the other thread by giving AA another go you have nothing to lose. You won’t wait for help so that alone is worth thinking about.
Sometimes, Nailedit, the people who try to help (and here I mean family and friends) actually suffer more than the person who is addicted toalcohol - that person is in a sort of cloud-cuckoo land and unaware of what they are doing while family look on helpless to make their loved one see the light - they often have to seek help through Al-Anon.

Getting sober is relativly easy...............
its staying sober thats hard. and that goes for any drug, wet or hard.
Ive got sober in the psych ward a few months ago, for 43 days,
and lost my job and then drank for england...
It started off as a one off and quickly became the norm again.
Im shaky and sweaty in the day again.
I dry wretch and cant face food.
I cant face light.
Im constantly sweating until
ive had a drink.
I cant face life.
