Just a quick post for anyone interested, I have today received a thank you letter for my small donation to the power Boat Fund (as raised here by Mollykins)

It states that 'Due to people such as yourself, who were made aware of this by (molly) and BBC Look East and Beach Radio, we now have the funds to purchase the boat.'

So good news .

I always write name and address on back of cheques, so that is how they found me.

The boat has been saved primarily through the efforts of ABers.....I don't think it cost molly anything....in any terms...

Shame she has gone from here, for the moment, as she was a combination of refreshing, amusing, frustrating and annoying all rolled into one Molly-package, plus the spelling and grammar which was pretty unique in anybody's book.

Yes and any monies left over are to be put into a fund for maintenance etc. As others said, the 'Boat' appeal was not the cause of her leaving and am sure she is doing well.

I didn't give my address, they've sent a thank you letter though, they must've done a bit of detection work to find my address.

The letter also goes on to say that with the amount received they should be able to cover the cost of the boat with some to spare. This will be put into a fund for the boat's upkeep, making sure that it is always in good running order and safe to use.

Molly may have sunk her own "boat" and then been "drowned" by various AB bullies and hence "lost" for the moment. Nice to hear that we have reduced the risk of that in real life in Lowestoft SC by adding to their boat and maintenance......
