Sent a letter to a debt collection company using a CCA letter asking them to prove the debt, they have replied and dropped the debt, was wondering could i use the same letter to a company that i am already paying, have been paying for over a year, could they refund my payments if they cannot prove the debt? or as i'm paying is that classed as an admission of the debt by myself?

If you genuinely don't believe that you owe the money then send the letter but if you know the debt to be genuine then it could be classed as fraud?
