how long does a bank have to keep its cctv footage for? Is there a set time, I was told they keep it for a month but are they all the same?

It's up to each organisation- I recall the Data Protection Act simply says they should be kept no longer than necessary. Most tapes only have room for a few week's film.
I've seen racks to hold 30 tapes.
Yes, tamborine, and I've seen vaults big enough to hold many such racks. But why would they want to?
