I would like to join weight watchers online but don't know where I would get weighed. I don't have a chemist nearby with scales and I know ordinary bathroom scales aren't really accurate. Does the nurse at the Dr's let you get weighed there do you think?

Hi crisgal, I'm with WWOL and I use my own bathroom scales - as long as they weigh consistently, it doesn't matter how exactly accurate they are, you can just measure your weight loss against what it was last week. That's what I do!

I can't see the practice nurse letting you use the scales every week....
The WW leader will bring along scales to a meeting. The ones they use aren't all that accurate either!! But as Boxie says, if you lose a pound or two, they'll show that difference.
I don't think it makes a lot of difference. If your bathroom scales is permanently reading a few pounds high or low then the trend week to week will still be evident. And even if they are inconsistent one can always take a few readings each time to see if they settle on a particular weight.
on-line doesn't have meetings, heathfield, you do it yourself.
Try going to your doctors anyway
Mine offered me free six weeks at WW and reduced gym membership for three months too. I was also offered weekly meetings with a health adviser too
Lots of Doctors are promoting healthy living and yours might just be able to help
I've has that happen often that what I'm reading disappears...usually connected with tiredness speaking of which. :-0
