I've Ordered A Rebounder!
38 Answers
I'm so fed up and angry with myself with my failed attempts at losing weight so I'm not going to pollute the Onwards & Downwards threads anymore. I can't seem to stick at any weight loss programme so I've ordered a rebounder and will use this to try and get fit. I did have one many years ago and it really helped me with weight loss and keeping fit but the springs broke so I had to get rid of it.
Since I reverted back to my bad eating habits 2 weeks ago I think I have put on half a stone already and I'm struggling with my clothing. I can't carry on like this so I've done a shopping order according to a 1 week Rosemary Conley kick start programme to hopefully lose 5lb and get the ball rolling. In the past I haven't done any exercise which is where I think I've gone wrong.
Wish me luck :o)

I use this, pretty much, every day and have also started going back out on my bike, for lengthy rides.
Like you, I have tried every fadddy diet going. I always lose a load of weight, and then put it all back on.. and then some :-(
I have to say though, I've been off wheat for three weeks now, included my beloved Saturday night Beer, and I have seen such a huge improvement. 11lbs down, and that's literally just from cutting out beer, wine and anything wheat-based.
Give it a go :-)

Mini trampoline, Tony.
Well done Baby_Sham, that's great. I did really well with my old one and I was also walking home from work every night which is around 3.5 miles. I need to start doing that as well before the evenings start getting dark. I think my downfall is sweet things. Years ago I'd be eating a tub of Ben & Jerry's and leave more than half of it. These days I can finish the whole lot off in one sitting! I seriously need to re-educate my portion sizes.

Good luck Tigger, I agree that cutting out anything hat is wheat based is a very successful and healthy diet. No bread, cake, pastry or biscuits. Try porridge or fruit for breakfast, salads and protein for lunch, or add a couple of rice cakes if you miss the bread and plenty of vegetables with a little protein for dinner. Fruit and 0% yoghurt for dessert or whenever you need a snack. I lost a good amount of weight that way but I have to admit i'm struggling again now. I too probably need to get more active. What is a rebounder? A small trampoline maybe?
Just to say, have you heard of/looked at My Fitness Pal? It's an app, which I think was voted best weight loss app either last year or the year before.
Anyway, my sister and her boyfriend did it and he lost 5 stone!! It's not a faddy diet, you literally keep a record of what you're eating and the cals you are consuming. It's got great reviews, so maybe worth a look :-) x
